1. AUTOMECHANIKA ISTANBUL 2026: FOCUS ON THE TRADE FAIR
Automechanika Istanbul 2026, the leading automotive aftermarket trade fair in Eurasia, was held from May 19 to 22 and celebrated its 25th edition. The event brought together approximately 1,400 exhibiting companies—including REDAT S.p.A.—from 41 countries and welcomed more than 51,000 visitors from 130 nations, showcasing the latest innovations in spare parts, systems, tuning, workshop equipment, and IT.

The high level of international participation, the intense volume of B2B meetings, and the numerous networking opportunities further strengthened the fair’s leadership position at the regional level.
Engine components, including injection systems, once again took center stage this year, and REDAT reaffirmed its long-standing position in the Diesel injection sector while celebrating 60 years of commitment and international presence.
2. REDAT AT AUTOMECHANIKA ISTANBUL
Attendance figures and the quality of the event’s content undoubtedly confirmed the strategic importance of Automechanika Istanbul as a meeting point for manufacturers, distributors, workshops, and aftermarket professionals from all over the world.
For REDAT S.p.A. as well, participation in this important event proved both rewarding and inspiring. During the exhibition, we welcomed hundreds of visitors to our stand who were interested in the advanced products and services we develop for the large-engine aftermarket sector.
For us, participation in this event has become a regular commitment. We are always eager to return to Istanbul to gain first-hand insight into market sentiment and identify new needs and concerns by speaking with both visitors and fellow exhibitors, and this year’s experience was no exception.
3. AFTERMARKET OUTLOOK: WHAT THE AUTOMECHANIKA 2026 AUDIENCE IS SAYING
First of all, we were pleased to observe that—despite major geopolitical disruptions worldwide and the resulting economic tensions—attendance remained very high, a sign that this sector continues to be relevant and strategic even within an increasingly uncertain and conflict-driven global environment.
On the other hand, we noticed the absence of some visitors from more distant countries, most likely due to the difficulties and rising costs of air travel, which had increased significantly in the weeks leading up to the exhibition.
Nevertheless, the audience in attendance appeared cautiously optimistic, including visitors from the Persian Gulf countries and Central Asia, regions particularly affected by international tensions.
The common sentiment we observed was that the global economy is continuing to show resilience, and so is our specific sector. The Diesel injection industry supports many of the world's critical sectors, from transportation to power generation, and therefore does not come to a halt even during periods of crisis.
4. NEXT DATE: AUTOMECHANIKA FRANKFURT IN SEPTEMBER
Immediately after the summer break, another business trip awaits us, this time to Germany for Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, taking place from September 8 to 12. On that occasion, we will once again assess the direction of our industry and the emerging needs of the professional audience that brings these trade fairs to life year after year.
See you in Frankfurt: if you are interested in joining us at the most important event for the automotive aftermarket—and beyond—we look forward to meeting you in September!
